I saw this paper ornament and garland idea on a blog called abiteastcoast and loved it. I have used the stick tree in years past, I was inspired to go out and do it again. The skill level is easy but a bit labor intensive.  I just created as time permitted and this is the result.  I will add some more as time permits. If you look back in my blog you will see the tree sans the ornaments. I glittered some pinecones you can see in the jars in the backgroud.

Christmas decor 2011

I got a little creative with the decor this year because we have 2 kittens still. I knew they would be into everything.  I couldn't watch them every second so anything breakable had to find a very safe place to be displayed. So far so good.  I also wanted to challenge myself and create more handcrafted decorations. I used to be the kind of person that had to put everything in the same place as last year. I broke that mold and now mix it up every year. I need to weed out some things I have been holding onto for too long for no apparent reason.  My cast aways might be someone elses treasures. Enjoy.

Stamp Club Christmas challenge

We met last week and had to create a card that used these little tiny silver bells.  We all seemed to channel Christmas for our creations.

This is my card for the challenge. I had a heck of a time finding something to go through the little bells so they would stay on the card and still jinggle. I ended up using wire. I ran out of silver bells and picked up some gold ones and plastic star beads to make a garland. My card has the Charlie Brown feel to it.
