Student teachers gifts.

We had to say good bye to the student teachers that were in out class this semester. I don't work too closely with them but since I am in the class everyday, we get to know one another. I wanted to get them a little something to wish them well. This is what I came up with. I found these wine glasses that said cheers and such around the glass.  I constructed these tags and tied them to fit around the rim.

I filled the glasses with red tinsel, junior mints and topped them off with graduation bubbles.
I wrote a personal note to each on the back of the tag and that was it. Easy peasy - Cyn \|"/

Assortment of cards

It seems like I have been so busy stamping this weekend but actually I have been sitting on 4 posts.  I take the photos as I go and then save them to add the text later.  I finally got around to completing the posts.

For this card I took photos as I assembled the card to show the simple steps.

The only part I didn't show is  I used glue dots to keep two of the pennants down in each row. It was the only way I could keep them from sticking up or hanging at a weird angle.

I finally took some time to create just to create. No challenge or time crunch. It has been a while and I loved the freedom.
I broke out my washi tape stash and put together these two cards.
Inside the card.
Here's my stash of tapes.
I love the punch and stamp bundles.
I am trying to take the creating to the inside of the card as well.
I copied this fold from this months Card Makers magazine. I added a matching envelope and tag.

Birthday card.

I brought back a card I have made several times. My son needed a card for his friend, so this came to mind. I have an earlier post that shows how I rolled the candles using a skewer. I bought a new sayings set from Stamin Up, I just love how it looks. On the inside I made a pocket for a gift card to fit in.
I wanted to get a close up of the candles for you. If it was for a girl I would probably would have used glitter on the flames. Thanks for stopping by -Cyn \l"/

Birthday Card

I am making a birthday card for my son's friend. He is turning 13. I just love the card in a box right now so I came up with this.  I needed an easier way to make candle flames so I used my Martha Stewart leaf punch. I made a small pedestal for the flame to be glued to.  I had 13 candles  done in no time.

Two of my helpers. They photo bombed my pictures. The Orange one is Ginger and the gray on is Pepper.
