A Layout of Me

This is the page when it is closed, the picture of me pulls out to reveal a signed message.
One of my good friends retired and as a going away gift we all made layouts of ourselves and this is what I came up with. If you don't sign it says" I will miss you".
In my excitement at learning how to finally post my pictures again I didn't consider how unorganized it would all be. When time permits I will try to assemble some kind of order. If not just enjoy the view. This experience has really been fun for me. Cheers \l"/.

the thank you tag

this is a close-up fo the ribbon rose. I learned this from Youtube  sorry I dont remember the ladys name that taught this.  (If you type in your search and add "tutorial" at the end you'll find so many wonderful things to learn).

This is a tag I made by cutting a piece of white cardstock in the tag shape, I inked the edges using Tim Holtz distress ink in wild honey. I added the patterned paper in a square and a coordinating strip near the bottom. I inked those edges as well. I embossed the thank you in tangerine tango, using a Heidi Swap stamp.  I punced the butterfly from a Martha Stewart punch added the bling in several places. I made a ribbon rose in peachy orange and gluded it down. I used some yarn as a tassle for the top and done.

My dearest sweetest most wonderful friend's thank you

This is the albulm cover with a ribbon closure.
I covered two pieces of chipboard with the coordinating patterned paper for the cover. The flowers I made from paper lunch sacks using punches and a brad in the center to hold them all together and scrunched the petals for a 3D affect.

This album is called an acordian fold.

I adhered 3 12 by 12 pieces of thick patterned paper together after the folding.  I added some contrasting designer paper for photo matting or journaling.

I added a cute tag to the cover and completed my gift
My wonderful friend Ginny has been donating to me some of her crafting supplies. There have been several boxes. It feels like Christmas around here.  My daughter is also benefiting from this too. I got inspired to create a thank you gift to show her how much we appreciate her generosity. Take a look. Thank you so much Ginny and I promise to "pay it forward".

Mini Composition Book Cover

I spent the morning crafting and cleaning (thank you kids).  We have been go go go since summer vacation  started.  I appreciate the quiet days when I get them. I bought a three pack of mini compostion books. They are smaller than a pencil and easy to alter.  This is what I came up with.
This is the cover, I used a page from a nursery rhyme book my kids out grew. I added some chip board to a few of the bees. In the center of the flowers you can see I added some clear micro-beads.

Here is a close up of the tag (I found these in the 1$ spot at Joanns).  I  inked the velum and stamped in red. I made the red flower from old book pages and painted it to match.  There is a tiny clothes pin in there too.

this flower is from stampin up, I painted it and added micro beads to the center and petals.

I took this for size reference
